Brief Bio
Alexander Alfimtsev received the B. S. and M. S. degrees in computer science from the Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU), Russia, in 2003 and 2005 respectively, and the Ph. D. degree from the BMSTU in 2008. He is currently a Professor of Information systems and telecommunications at BMSTU. He is also a Member of the International Institute of Informatics and Systemics, USA. He has 75 scientific papers, including 3 patents for inventions. His main research interests include the use of computer vision and artificial intelligence methods for human-computer interaction, pattern recognition, multimodal interfaces.

SCOPE
The mission of the section is to bring together researchers and engineers from software and electronics, interested in studying and using algorithms, methods and models of multimodal and human computer interfaces addressing biological requirements including new intelligent interfaces of devices, sensors, biosystems, biorobotics.
Topics of Interest
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Multimodal interfaces of health monitoring devices, emerging systems and biorobotics
- Capture, tracking and recognition in multimodal and human computer interfaces
- Usability of intelligent interfaces for biomechanical devices, equipment and sensors
- Digital image processing and visualization in interface of biomedical devices
- Information fusion and aggregation in an interface of biomedical system from a set of sensors

Prospective authors are invited to submit papers in any of the topics listed above.
